We operate with minimal environmental impacts and with an eye toward healthy enjoyment of our wines.
Our home and winery are 100% solar powered. Our large rooftop solar array powers our home and all of our winery operations. Our electricity production far exceeds our needs.
We use no insecticides in our vineyard, and we apply only organic sprays to control mildew. We operate in an as organic manner as possible.
We conserve water.
Run-off water from the wine-making process is used to irrigate our gardens.
We compost all of the grape stems, skins and seeds left over from the winemaking process. We apply this compost to fertilize our orchard and vineyard.
We use the absolute minimum of preservatives.
Many winemakers use high amounts of preservative, hoping to extend the shelf life of their wines indefinitely. We don’t believe in that approach. We find that very small amounts of preservative are all that is necessary.
The vast majority of our wines are vegan friendly.
Unlike most other producers, we avoid adding egg or milk products to our wines—95% of the wines we produce are completely vegan. Check for the Vegan symbol on our bottles.
