We discovered the glories of Limoncello lemon liqueur while on a summer holiday in Tuscany. After a lovely Italian meal, the host dropped off an uncorked bottle of Limoncello (a popular Italian ‘digestif’) to our table and left it with us to enjoy. It made for a sunny, refreshing, soothing, and memorable finish to a delightful dinner.
Back from holiday, we discovered our farm’s lemon trees to be covered with ripe fruit. Inspiration struck: why not try to capture that Tuscan experience right here at home, using our own fruit?
Our lemon liqueur is made from our own home-grown, peeled-by-hand Meyer lemons. Our sunshine-yellow limoncello is alive with the scent of fresh lemons, lightly sweet, and only 20% alcohol. It works beautifully both as an after-dinner dessert or as an everyday light summer beverage. It is also lovely as an ingredient in cooking, adding a lively lemon flavour to sponge cakes, sorbets, and toppings.
